Ashlyns School offers a superb selection of sports facilities available for both regular club hire and adhoc bookings. Conveniently located just off the A41 with extensive grounds and ample free parking, it is the ideal venue for a wide variety of sporting and leisure activities.
Our multifunctional Sports Centre features full disabled access, a lift, showers, and changing facilities. It is also home to the Aspire2Fitness Gym—a fantastic community asset open outside of school hours, on weekends, and during school holidays.

Aspire2Fitness
At Aspire2Fitness we take great pride in our brand new purpose-built gym and studio. Run by Ashlyns School as a not-for-profit fitness centre, Aspire2Fitness has been created for the benefit of not just the school, but for the whole Berkhamsted community. Our bright and spacious air-conditioned gym is equipped with state-of-the-art Matrix cardiovascular and resistance equipment, plus free weights, a functional training rig and dedicated spin zone. Our fitness class timetable has something for everyone. With more than enough free parking for all our members, Aspire2Fitness is definitely the most convenient and easy to access club in town.
Berko Astro
BerkoAstro 3G Pitch is a community facility, and is available for hire to sports clubs and the community, as well as any school in Berkhamsted.
BerkoAstro is run by a charitable trust and managed by Trustees who are representatives of our partner football club, Berkhamsted Raiders, and Ashlyns School, with surplus funds reinvested in the sports facilities.

Paul Beard Centre
Built in 2012 in partnership with the Berkhamsted Raiders, the Paul Beard Centre provides excellent supporting facilities right alongside the Astro. This modern, standalone pavilion comes complete with a kitchenette, dedicated toilets, and a spacious main room equipped with heating, a projector, tables, and chairs. Guests can also enjoy an outdoor patio area.
The Paul Beard Centre can be booked as a standalone venue for meetings or events when the pitch is not in use.

Dance Studio
The Dance Studio is a state-of-the-art bright and airy space, with a fully integrated sound system and a sprung floor. Situated on the first floor of our Sports Hall, with lift access, it has floor to ceiling mirrors, windows and air-conditioning to ensure comfort levels are maintained. It is an ideal space for many activities such as yoga, pilates, and spinning, and instructors have access to bluetooth headsets.

Tennis / Netball Courts
We have 6 floodlit tennis courts, complete with nets, and there are 4 floodlit Netball Courts available to hire, and comes complete with posts and netball.
