Ashlyns students have embraced the innovative literacy tool, Bedrock Vocabulary, since the start of this academic year. So much so, that Ashlyns School has been named as a top 10 secondary school for student engagement on Bedrock in the UK.
Via the programme, students study hundreds of words whilst reading language-rich fiction and non-fiction texts regularly, ranging from hot air ballooning and Galileo, to the climate crisis, Charles Dickens and social media.
