Ashlyns School Association

The ASA is run by the parents and carers of students at Ashlyns school, to provide support at school events and raise funds for the development of the school and its facilities, that directly benefits the students.

The ASA has raised over £170,000 in the last 5 years, which is amazing, and has helped fund some ambitious and memorable events. The following are just a small example of what we have been able to purchase recently for the school and students this year:

  • Mini bus – to transport our students for sports fixtures and school trips
  • Specialist equipment for science, textiles, technology and music depts
  • Dyslexia reading pens and books for inclusion
  • New projector screen and blinds for the Chapel

We have regular informal meetings each month to discuss fund-raising ideas, social events, and ways in which we can provide support to the school and students; we are always open to suggestions and ideas, so please don’t hesitate to come along to a meeting, drop us a line via email, or message via our Facebook page.

These are just a few of the brilliantly successful events we have organised:

  • Halloween Ball for years 7 and 8 students
  • Autumn Craft Fair
  • Quiz Night
  • Tombola stall at the Berkhamsted Festival of Light
  • Summer concert BBQ and Bar
  • Good-as-new Uniform sale
  • Christmas wreath making
  • Ashlyns Festival

We also raise vital funds for the school and students in other ways, in which you too can help play a vital part:

Online shopping has become second-nature, so help raise more funds by simply using Once you’ve registered, you can shop in your normal way with a huge selection of retailers such as Amazon, M&S, Argos, John Lewis, eBay, but crucially, a percentage of your spend is donated back to the ASA for the school at no extra cost to you. This simple switch has raised over £6000 so far for the school – thank you; just think how much we could raise when it comes to booking your summer holidays, or even the Christmas shopping!

If you need new or second-hand uniform it can be purchased from the school office throughout the year.  You can donate your outgrown uniform back to the school for repair/resale.  This hugely successful venture has raised £1,500 so far this year, thanks to a dedicated team of ASA volunteers who wash and repair all items for resale.

If you are buying labels for school equipment or uniform please consider using Easy2name labels – The labels are clear, durable, dishwasher and washing machine proof, and the company offers a fast and efficient postal service. Select ‘Ashlyns School HP4’ when you make your online purchase, and the school receives 20% commission.

The ASA 100 Club is open for business! A simple but effective way to raise funds, with the chance to win a cash prize at the same time! Contact email:
