During our preparations for Ashlyns 60th Anniversary in 2011 we uncovered press cuttings, photos, yearbooks and souvenirs from the school’s past. Rather than banish them to the depths of a filing cabinet for the next decade or so, we decided to set up an archive of these materials for the benefit of our students, past and present, as well as local and family history researchers.
We are always interested to see (and if possible scan a copy of) any old class photos, or written and filmed records of life at Ashlyns School. If you have any memorabilia that relates to the history of Ashlyns School, we wouldn’t expect you to part with it but we would welcome the opportunity to see and record it for our archives. You can contact us by post c/o Ashlyns LRC, or by email at email@example.com
Ashlyns Past Pupils Network
If you were once a student at Ashlyns School and would like to catch up with fellow classmates and exchange your stories, why not join the Ashlyns Past Pupils Network?
We will keep your contact details on record so that we can keep you updated when reunion and heritage events are taking place, and let you know when someone has requested to get in touch with you. Former pupils are always welcome to arrange a visit to the school, especially if they can offer a little of their time to look through our archive material and identify any past colleagues and events. We are also always grateful for offers of volunteer speakers or work experience placements for our current pupils.
To join our network, please complete the sign-up form and return it by post c/o Ashlyns LRC or email a scanned copy to firstname.lastname@example.org
